The company a multi-disciplinary company working throughout Angola a with its Head Office in Luanda is look for a suitably qualified Civil engineer responsible for the Civil Construction sector of the company.
The work entails projects across the board in the oil & Gas Industry. because the position is in Angola you will need t be able to speak and read Portuguese, this is an essential requirement

Job Description:

• Responsible for the Civil Construction Sector of a Large Company – multiple projects
• Preparation, planning, coordination and supervision of all works within this sector i.e ;
• Prepares planning in accordance with a project time schedule
• Evaluates materials, labor & equipment requirements of the civil works project
• Performs site supervision and prepares periodical technical progress reports
• To ensure the efficient and effective planning / execution (supervision and coordination) of project in accordance to approved plans/drawings and specifications.
• Supervision and direction of labor’s efficiency to achieve target completion dates and budgeted costs.
• To conduct regular coordination meeting at site to all concerned parties including sub-contractors if any.
• Evaluates progress of work and prepares reports related to work status or difficulties at site.
• Integration in a multinational team
• Position reports directly to the General/Project Manager

Qualifications:

• Civil Construction Engineer with a minimum experience of 10 years in supervision of works – internationally;
• Age not exceeding 45 years;
• Knowledge in Project management, structural and sanitary engineering, in using laser theodolite (total station) surveying instrument.
• With experience in directing and coordinating works involving several subcontractors;
• Demonstrated ability to execute works in all their components and to meet deadlines (experience in preferred metallic structures);
• Good management and leadership skills for large teams;
• Good computer skills in terms of user (Microsoft Word and Excel; CAD and Microsoft Project, Outlook);
• Good knowledge of spoken and written English;
• Preparation of periodic reports;
• Good organizational skills;
• Dynamic and used to working under pressure;
• Good personal relationship and collaborative spirit;
• Total availability for the tasks to be performed, good work capacity and availability for flexible working hours;
• Ease of adaptation to new situations;
• Autonomy and team spirit;
• High professional spirit and moral integrity.
